John Shaffer, Principle
John has been building and remodeling homes for over 30 years. Before starting John Shaffer Custom Homes in 2014, John worked as a production manager for Ryan Homes and Director of Construction and VP of Operations at Thompson, completing 30 to 40 homes a year. John brings expert knowledge of the home building industry, from zoning regulations, state policy, real estate development and budget management to construction documentation, interior design and finish selection.
John believes that the custom home building process should be a collaborative effort where he educates the customer every step of the way. He puts his clients at ease with constant communication.
His personal attention to detail and commitment to quality is what makes a custom home yours.

Dan Branley, Partner
Dan grew up in Newcastle, England, before moving to the states to attend college in Tennessee. He received his master’s degree in business administration and has been working in collegiate sports for the past five years. Dan most recently worked as the recruiting coordinator and game day analyst for the soccer team at Campbell University in North Carolina.
From these roles, Dan brings great attention to detail to his role as junior partner, something we value highly at John Shaffer Custom Homes. He is able to manage complex projects with his experience in scheduling and budget management. He has negotiated contracts for and recruited players from all over the world, and provides person-centered communication to every client and trade partner.
